Hollywood, FL, July 27, 2022 -- Woundtech, an industry leader in advanced wound care and chronic wound management, announced today the executive appointment of Joseph C. Corcoran, DO, FACOG as Chief Clinical Officer.
Dr. Joe Corcoran will oversee clinical quality as well as program and service line development across Woundtech and is well positioned to lead Woundtech’s highly trained clinicians that serve as an extension of a patient’s primary care provider. Dr. Corcoran has over two decades of frontline patent care as a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and an engaged clinical leader. He brings deep expertise to distinct patient needs coupled with a well-developed understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship. This knowledge will be invaluable leading the Woundtech clinical team as they build upon established relationships with primary care providers, home health, and other referral groups to address each patient’s needs and provide improved health.

Before joining Woundtech, Dr. Corcoran served as Division Chief Medical Officer at HCA Healthcare, one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services comprised of 186 hospitals and 2,300+ sites of care in 20 states and the UK. Before that, Joe served as Senior Medical Director, Clinical Finance Strategies with The Advisory Board Company, a best practices firm that uses a combination of research, technology, and consulting to improve the performance of approximately 5,700 health care organizations and educational institutions. He previously served as Director of Medical Education for Manatee Memorial Hospital Healthcare System and was a founder and managing partner of Corcoran, Easterling, & Doyle, LTD, a market-leading and patient-centered Obstetrics & Gynecology practice base in Florida.
Dr. Corcoran is a graduate of the Nova-Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and he completed his OB/GYN residency at Temple University Hospital. He is a Life Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. He earned his Master’s degree from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business with a focus on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
